Groundswell was established in 1989, and provides free, non-judgemental home-based practical support for those people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in the South Hampshire area.

We are a registered charity - financially, we are supported by Health and Social Services (Southampton City Primary Care Trust, Southampton City Council, Hampshire County Council), Lloyds TSB Foundations, Tearfund, and donations from individuals and local churches.

Over the years we have supported many people in many different ways.

During 2007 we supported 80 HIV positive individuals plus their carers, friends and families.

We made 531 visits which represents 1,199 hours of care and 5,265 miles of travel.
